3 tips of watch appearance maintenance
Watch as a high-precision timing instruments and art jewelry, proper use and maintenance is essential to extend the life of watches and precision and aesthetic appearance of the piece to make it more convenient to your work and life.
1.Case and strap:
Watch case and watch band material is a variety, such as tungsten, titanium, high-tech ceramics, stainless steel, soft fiber, steel, etc. When wearing, try to avoid friction and impact with special parts that exceed or have the same hardness.
It is also necessary to clean the case and watchband regularly. In addition, seawater, salt water bath, perfume, shampoo, nail polish, nail polish, and some cosmetics containing chemicals will corrode the watch’s gold-plated layer and metal surface. It should be avoided.
Watch crystal can be divided into mineral glass and sapphire crystal glass. Sapphire crystal glass is resistant to abrasion, but the material is more brittle and afraid of violent impact; mineral glass is not as good as sapphire. Even anti-abrasive sapphire crystal glass should pay attention to the impurities contained in diamonds, grindstones, sandpaper, nail file, flower net surface, concrete wall surface, etc. to avoid scratching the surface.
Remember that water resistant doesn’t mean waterproof – Unless your timepiece has been specifically designed as a diver watch, it’s best not to submerge it in water. The gasket that gives your watch its water resistance grows dry and brittle over time and should be replaced when your watch is serviced. If the gasket between the case and the back of your watch has become dry, your watch is no longer waterproof. Your watch is also subject to the effects of extreme heat and cold. The case expands when exposed to heat, and moisture can enter through microscopic cracks in the case or crystal. Regular, routine service can prevent most of these problems.
